The objective of the event was to develop a "Maker Map" application. "Making" is a term for the community of people who create something, whether it is a ceramic artist or an electrical engineer.

In the morning participants brainstormed their ideas for features, designs, and the possible challenges that might arise throughout the completion of the project. By the afternoon, all the proposed ideas were brought together in order for the 30 programmers to get busy and hack away. Chris Nielsen, CEO of CNP Integrations, was one of the many programmers who decided to volunteer a lending hand during the hackathon.

CNP Integrations Business Innovation Center lead by Chistopher Nielsen, in Fall River MA is reaching out to all South Coast communities to be a partner for creating education and economic opportunities in the region.
